Day 6

Last day - Day 6
We got up and packed up all our things, gave Megin and Otto a hug and off we went to the Los Angeles and Redlands Temples another two temples that I hadn't ever seen.  Joel's parents were married in the LA Temple on Dec 30th 1967.  It was a very California Temple.  If I had to draw a temple for Cali it would look something like this one.  Not like the last two.

They had the perfect family tree on the side of the temple.  It was great for taking a family picture.
The landscaping was amazing.  The birds of paradise went on for ever and we found this hibiscus that was as big as Sophie's head.  It was gorgeous!

One their way to the baptismal entrance.

This is the view from the visitor's center across the parking lot.  It was great.  The little boys and I killed and hour and a half in there while the others went and did baptisms.  It was great.

Inside the Visitor Center they had a bunch of interesting thing for us to do.  We stayed busy until they were done.  Then they came over and joined us.  This is a picture taken in the visitor Center of the baptismal font.

This billboard was right outside the temple.  Genius!

Shayne took this picture with her phone as we were leaving.  Beautiful!

Then we headed straight for the Redlands Temple which wasn't very far away.  We only took pictures then changed into our traveling clothes in the church next door and headed home.  It was such an amazing trip.  We decided that all of our trips should be based on what temples we can visit in the area.  I can't wait to see where we go next!

GORGEOUS!!!

No one was excited to go home but it had to be done.  David slipped into a sugar coma and didn't wake up until Vegas.  It's great to have Shayne home from her mission but it's even better to have all these great memories to share for eternity.

Shayne took this picture of a real life Mater at a "pit stop" on the way home.

This was the greatest vacation ever!  Thanks everyone for making it that way.
