Day 4

Day 4!!!  CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE!!!
Today was blue Beckstrand shirt day.  Shayne did her own braid in her hair and was very proud of it.

This is us back on the shuttle headed into the park.  Family Selfie #2.

On the way in they had the cutest display.  I tried every day to get a good picture and didn't.  These are either Shayne's, Joel's or Sophie's.  They were super cute.

Us walking over to meet Brad.  Joel is a little excited.

Random picture of the trolly.

Here's Brad laughing at Shayne.  This is her first look at Carsland so he had to tell her all about all the little nook and crannies.

Flo's V8 Cafe really was a cafe.  You can get food inside.  It's so cute!  Just like Joel's super excited face.

Here's a good picture of the Tower of Terror, my favorite ride, from Carsland.

Here's Mater having his picture taken with his fans.  D.J. came out and had a dance party.  It was cute.

RED!!!

Then, of course, there's Lightning McQueen!  Those vehicles are really cool.  Brad says that they cost a million dollars each.  One guy in inside it and drives it while 4 others guide it with remotes and clear the path.

 Shayne's first ride in Carsland!!!

We of course, got Fast Passes for Radiator Spring Racers before we got in line and then got right on. Since there are only 6 to a car I got in the one in front of them so I could take their picture.  I wasn't sure if it'd work out that my car would actually be the one racing against them but we got lucky.  This is by far one of the best rides on the entire World of Disney.  It has all the qualities of all the rides put into one.

Then we ran again and go in the single rider line.  Sophie and I were in the same car and Josh and Shayne were in the same car.  Joel and David were in the same car and Ben was in his own.  It was fun.

You can't see my face because I was taking a picture.

Then we went on TOWER OF TERROR!!!  The best ride in California Adventure Park.  It was all of the boys first and last time riding it this trip.  I guess once was enough for them.  But not of us girls.  It was just the start.

Then we wandered around and saw our favorite people...Woody, Jesse and Buzz.

We stood in line and got out pictures and then we came out and walked around and played with the boys.  It was awesome.  David was in Heaven.  He thought that was so neat.  So did I.

Look at the smile on his face.

After that we went on my 2nd favorite ride in California Adventure...MICKEY'S FUN WHEEL!  I absolutely love this ride and Josh thinks it is the cruelest punishment ever. To get this picture Sophie had to actually pull his head up.  He was in the fetal position the entire time with his eyes slammed shut.  This ride is not only fun but you can see the entire park from the top.  It's amazing!  Look at David.  He's like me.  He's taking it all in.

To make Josh feel better we got ice cream afterwards.

Then is was time for California Screamin'!  Not Shayne's favorite but she came on it with us for the first time in Disney history.

This is David waiting in line.  We really didn't have very long lines but he's 8.  It was a perfect day.

Here's a great picture of Mickey's Fun Wheel and California Screamin'.

Here are our pictures from the ride.  Josh was pretending to be asleep and I was trying not to throw up. :)

Then we got back in line and went again.  The wait was only 10 minutes.  This one is on me plugging my ears because the music was so loud on this car that I was getting a headache.  Ben was loving it.  I think this is his favorite ride.  He'd do it all day if we let him.

Joel took these with his phone.

Then we were all getting hungry and the Josh and Ben both wanted a turkey leg and David wanted a piece of corn.  So we got those and then went over to the Soarin' Cafe and met up with Ashley and Henry for lunch.

HENRY!!!

Oh man do we love this kid.

What's not to love?  He's the cutest!

After a great lunch we went to Carsland with Ashley.  I took this picture because it'd been many, many years since I had seen Joel push a stroller.  It brought back good memories.  Can't wait until we're grandparents!

This was so fun!  I want to go again just so we can play with these two!

So Shayne took this picture.  I volunteered to stay with Henry so Ashley could go on Radiator Springs Racers with everyone.  It was a good trade!

This, believe it or not, is Ashley on the front row with the HAIR.  Hahaha!

Here are the boys doing pull ups again and Joel's Italian love.

By the time they got back my magic mom powers had worked on Henry and he was fast asleep so I told them to run and go on more rides while they still had a chance.  He's adorable!  p.s.  I took these pictures myself.  Pretty impressive huh?

Here are Shayne and Ashley.  Shayne should have braided Ashley's hair out of her face because these pictures are to funny.

More McQueen.

The newest part of Disneyland.  Monsters University!!!  Super cool.

Here's the California Adventure parade.  It was darling.  We saw the last part of it unfortunately.

Then we met up with Brad for dinner.  He brought Del Taco in so we saved a lot of money.

Henry lost his shoe while Josh was holding him and Shayne picked it up and hit Josh in the face with it.  Henry loved it.  He thought it was great.  We all got a good laugh at his expense.

Then couple of Brad's co-workers came by and they took a couple family pictures for us.  It was awesome!  I love all of these.  I want to blow them up and put them on my wall.

As the night fell we watched the lights come on in Carsland.  It's one of our favorite things to do.  The music comes one and one by one each building lights up.

The lights on the Boardwalk over Paradise Pier on our way to Toy Story Mania and Joel just had to get a Chocolate banana before we left.

This was so much fun.  Sophie and Josh face Joel.  David and I were on the other side of them.

You can try to guess whose score is whose.

Then, last but not least, WORLD OF COLOR!  One of our favorite.

Then there was a stop at the stores on the way out and a shuttle ride back to the van.  These are the signs on the shuttle ride.

The best way to end the day, trying to see how many steps you can skip on the escalator on the way back to the van.

An awesome way to end an awesome 2nd day in the Wonderful World of Disney.  Thanks BRAD!
